I REMEMBER THE FIRST DAY CARLOS AND FRANKIE ENTERED LAKE PARK ELEMENTRY IN OUR 3RD GRADE CLASS, THEY TOLD US THEY WERE GOING TO BEGIN SPANISH CLASSES IN OUR CLASSES, WHO KNEW WHAT SPANISH WAS?  WE SOON LEARNED, BUT I DON'T REMEMBER THE CLASSES LASTING TO LONG BEFORE THE BOYS WERE SPEAKING TO US IN ENGLISH.  I REMEMBER A BRIGHT SMILE AND EASY CONVERSATION.  IT WAS SO INTERESTING TO DISCUSS HIS FLIGHTS IN THE 70'S AND 80'S AND TOUCHING WHEN HE SPOKE ABOUT HIS FAMILY.  HE LOVED HIS FAMILY WITH ALL HIS HEART AND HAD GREAT FEELING FOR HIS FRIENDS, HE LOVED BEING WITH ALL OF US AT THE REUNIONS AND AT ANY TIME WE WERE TOGETHER.

WHEN WE WORKED IN THE GLADES AT THE SAME TIME, HE ALWAYS WANTED UPDATES AND WANTED TO KNOW HOW PEOPLE WERE DOING.  HE LOVED ALL OF US AND I KNOW I MISS HIM EVERY DAY.  CARLOS, I LOVE YOU AS ONLY CHILDHOOD FRIENDS CAN AND YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE IN MY HEART ALWAYS,  YOUR FRIEND,  ROBIN
