Joseph Scirrotto - Class Of 1968

SCIRROTTO, Joseph John Joseph John Scirrotto, Jr., 68, of Tequesta, Florida, passed away, Thursday, November 15, 2018 surrounded by family. Joe was born January 20, 1950 in Camden, New Jersey to Joseph and Mary (Coppola) Scirrotto. In 1963, he moved to Florida with his family. He graduated from Riviera Beach High School, Class of 1968. On August 9, 1975 he married Margaret Mary Dee. Together they had three children. Joe enjoyed working as a design draftsman and technical writer at Pratt & Whitney. Later in his career he worked for South Florida Water Management District and Belcan. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, and watching his favorite Florida football teams. He was known for his ability to exaggerate any story and his kind and compassionate spirit. Joe was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Beckett, his mother, Mary, and his son-in-law, Brian Ray. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; his daughter Marissa Ray; his daughter Lauren Scirrotto and her husband Jason Garwick. He is also survived by the loves of his life, his grandchildren: Julia Ray, Liam Garwick and Owen Garwick. He will be lovingly remembered by his father Joe, his brothers Dominic (Beth), Gregory (Jan), Ronald (Joan), John (Karen) and many beloved nieces and nephews. He will be especially missed by his sister-in-law Catherine Dee and her husband Charles Self. A private funeral service will be held later this month.
