When we knew Mike as a young man, we admired him for the attributes that make young men stand out - intelligence, athletic ability, wit and charm. As youthful contemporaries, what we did not fully appreciate was that his early accomplishments were not as much the product of natural gifts as they were of an underlying character, an unwillingness to accept anything less than his best effort. The result is that his family, though grieved beyond words by his loss, is left with treasured memories, unsurpassed pride and gratitude for having shared his remarkable life. We offer our condolences to Patty, Michael, Patrick and all the Keiltys. We wish you peace and healing.
