Jack was a crazy guy to say the least, but if you got the chance to really spend some time with him you found out what a truly good hearted person he was. I'll never forget when he and I went out to play football in Garden City Kansas. The people there like here thought he was crazy because he would wear his weejuns with no socks no matter what the temperature was. Allan Jackson “Jack” Harper died about 10:00 PM on 2 Aug 89 at JFK Memorial Hospital as a result of head injuries caused by a boating accident on 5 Jul 89.

I hung out with Jack for a few years in the late 60's and he was a truely crazy guy in that he was pretty intimidating if you didn't know him, but we became really good friends and I found he really did have a heart as big as all outdoors. If he was a friend, their wasn't much he wouldn't do for you. He was a wonderful person, if you ever took the time to get to know him.Gregory Tutcik (1966)
