Lynch; several nieces and nephews; and four aunts, Sylvia, Dorothy, Arlene and Ruth.

NEW FREEDOM, Pa. — Craig S. Beifus, 59, of New Freedom, formerly of Milford, died on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at Barbara J. Egan Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Shrewsbury. A funeral liturgy will be conducted by the Rev. Bernard Wamayose at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, from St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 315 N. Constitution Ave., New Freedom. Viewings will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Born Sept. 21, 1952, in Plainfield, he was the son of Eleanor (Quick) Beifus of Deltona, Fla., and the late Frank I. Beifus. He was the husband of Ellen C. (Maxwell) Beifus. Craig received a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Stockton State University and pursued graduate studies at Rutgers University in Newark. He was employed at Beckton Dickenson in Sparks, Md., as a senior quality engineer for the past seven years. He previously was employed by Crayola in Easton for 15 years. Craig attended St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in New Freedom, and was a former member of St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in Milford. Craig was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying bow hunting, fishing, bicycling and kayaking. He was a marathon runner, winning once in Philadelphia and also in Washington, D.C., and had an amateur pilot license. Craig enjoyed photography, playing the guitar, and brewing his own beer. He had the wonderful opportunity to travel to China and England through his employment, and enjoyed visiting family in San Francisco and Florida. Surviving him, in addition to his mother and wife are a son, Frank W. Beifus of New Freedom; two brothers, Sheldon S. and Frank A. Beifus, both of Florida; one sister, Karen Frisbie and her husband Anthony of Bangor, Pa.; three brothers-in-law, Frank W. Maxwell III and his wife Joan, James A. Maxwell and his wife Barbara, and Lawrence B. Maxwell and his wife Cynthia; and one sister-in-law, Dr. Rosemary E. Lynch; several nieces and nephews; and four aunts, Sylvia, Dorothy, Arlene and Ruth.
