SODDERS III, Matthew R.

Age 63, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida passed away peacefully Thursday, December 20, 2013. Although born in Evanston, ILL, March 30, 1950, son of Matthew R. Sodders Jr and Kathleen Sodders, he was a lifelong resident of Palm Beach County. Matthew, known by most as Matt or Matty, graduated from Riviera Beach High School in 1968, attended the University of Florida and then started a 40 year career with Southern Bell Telephone. He was a past member and President of the Jupiter-Tequesta Jaycees, past member of the Jupiter Elks and the Palm Beach Gardens Moose Lodge. Matt enjoyed watching his family grow and experience life. He was often seen volunteering for multiple Agricultural fund raising and awareness activities such as the Annual Palm Beach County Sweet Corn Fiesta. Matt leaves behind his three dedicated sons: Matthew R Sodders IV, Christopher David Sodders and Jeffery Thomas Sodders; his Mother, Kathleen Sodders; two Brothers, Mark Sodders and Gregory Sodders; and one Sister, Nancy Morrow; brother- in-law, Nick Morrow; sister-in-laws, Mary Jane Sodders and Ann Bettina Sodders and their families. Funeral Services will be this Saturday, January 4th, 11 a.m. at St Clare Catholic Church, 821 Prosperity Farms Road, North Palm Beach FL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of the Palm Beach County.
