In Memory

Herb Lozott - Class Of 1963

Herb Lozott

Gone but not forgotten. Herbert (Herb) Walter Anderson Lozott. Life resident of Riviera Beach and Lake Park Florida.

Herb was born in Syracuse, New York to Norman Franklin Lozott and Dorothy Anderson Lozott on September 10, 1945.

During his first year, he and his mother moved to 37th Street in Riviera Beach and shared a residence with his Grandparents, Walter Anderson and Grace Harvey Anderson. They lived there until about 1950, when they moved to Lake Park. After moving a number of times into houses that his grandfather built, he eventually lived on Bayberry Drive with his mother, Stepfather Jim Morrow, and his grandparents.

Herb attended Kindergarten held in Kelsey Park, Lake Park Elementary School, and Riviera Beach Junior / Senior High School, where he graduated (barely) in 1963.

Herb then decided to serve his country and joined the Army. During Herb’s time in the Army, he received basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and Medical Corpsman training at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. His permanent duty station was Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Cecil Bingham (1963)

Met Herb in 6th grade. I was in touch with him several times a year. He was one of the people I knew the longest in my life. The first person I ran into when I got home from the USAF, We talked often especially when planning a school gathering of some sort.  He was always at the school reunions and dinners. He is missed a bunch.
