Jaycee Club House Dances Posted Thursday, July 26, 2012 10:27 PM Anyone remember the dances at the Jaycee Clubhouse out by the airport? I think they only lasted a few years.

RE: Jaycee Club House Dances Posted Friday, July 27, 2012 09:04 AM I never heard it called the "Hanger". The building looked like it was once a barracks. The location was on the North side of PBIA and a little West of the terminal. They were great dances, but not very well chaparoned. A lot of under-age drinking, and there were a few fights with the local Westgate crowd. The R-Dells and Rhythm Rockers played there most of the time.I guess the dances ended because the place seemed like it was a fire trap. The Lake Worth Casino took over as the place to go after that, and eventually the Armory.
