Causeway, Peanut Island, Little peanut Posted Sunday, April 11, 2010 12:23 PM I remember the time a group of us swam to Little Peanut Island. Now it's gone. Peanut is now changed so much. I hear the new Coast Guard Station in the north part of Riviera Beach can't handle their larger boats. What's the deal with mooring your boat south of the County Park between the little bridge and the big bridge to Singer Island? You know, what we used to call the Causeway. I still see boats that are moored there, south of the swimming area - moored for long periodsfor long periods. |

RE: Causeway, Peanut Island, Little peanut Posted Friday, April 23, 2010 04:51 PM Just talked to my father. He says that Phil Foster Park (the Causeway) is closed for swimming because the Riviera Beach sewer line broke again. |

RE: Causeway, Peanut Island, Little peanut Posted Monday, May 3, 2010 12:00 AM Sewer line? That's their story and they're sticking to it. I'm guessing the 20-30 boats on permanent anchorage south of the little bridge and beach have something to do with the elevated bacteria levels taken. I seriously doubt those boats are using their holding tanks as required. They just have to learn to flush on the outgoing tide. |
