Welcome to the Riviera Beach High Classes Of 1961 - 1970 web site. We are a group of Riviera Beach High School Alumni with a strong desire to keep our high school roots alive. Information such as class events, missing persons and class rosters will be updated as often as possible. Information on all RBHS Alumni will eventually be published here.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

•	Classmates: Some folks are inquiring about the BUZZ 2026 budget. Before sharing let me clarify why the Committee did not choose a local hotel. Most hotels want $5,000-$15,000 for the ballroom, to host up to 200 people, then $5,000-$7500 for the finger foods, and $10-$17 for beverages. Given those numbers we'd have over $20,000.00 expenses, even with a Cash Bar. Those numbers were OK when we had 600-700 people attending but recent events have had 175-200 attendees. Here's the Moose expenses: Moose Lodge – available May 2, 2026 Confirmed 11/04/25 w/ Dee from Moose Time: 6:00-10:00 (Jammin Jim will set up his equipment at 5:00pm) Cost: Room $650.00 ($250.00 deposit paid 11/12/25) Insurance via Moose $180.00 Bar tenders (2) $300.00 Bar Back $50.00 DJ (Jammin Jim) $500.00 Food $3500.00 Snacks $250.00 Decorations: $200.00 Total Budget= $5,6300.00 Need 3-4 people to volunteer for decorations Tables = 90” round Table signs donated by Chuck & Mae Dettman ($93.98) RBHS & Buzz Banner stands donated by Chuck Dettman Buzz White vinyl banner year changed (2018 to 2026) Donated by Chuck & Mae Dettman ($75.00) Some folks asked why the 'short notice' for the Buzz decision however postings on this FB page and the RBHSHonnets.com website on Nov 10, 25, Oct 7, 25 and Oct 6, 25, and Sep 11, 25 provided invitations for people to join in the planning. All meetings are available via Zoom participation for convenience. •	Classmates, The Buzz 2026 committee met last evening with Chuck Dettman, Mae Dettman, Roger Hurd and Peggy Osbourne attending. Currently we have only $2176.15 in the Buzz treasury. The 2026 Buzz “bare bones” budget is $5630.00. That means we are $3453.85 SHORT. Considering the scheduled May 2, 2026, event date is only 60-days away the Committee is concerned about the financial responsibility. A suggestion was presented to wait until April 2, 2026, to decide if the Buzz should continue - only if the funds are donated to cover the projected costs. We need your donation to the Buzz. Make the check payable to Hurd, Horvath & Ross, Trust Account and mail it to Roger Hurd at: Hurd, Horvath & Ross 8295 North Military Trail, Suite A, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410-6312 In the memo section of the check please enter Hornet Buzz and your year of graduation.
•	Hey Hornets, the 2026 BUZZ is a short few weeks away. As always, we are attempting to provide a wonderful evening at no cost to attend. The BUZZ Committee is asking EACH CLASS to contribute $500.00, Individuals are welcome to conrtribute as well. •	RBHS 2026 HORNET BUZZ YEP, IT'S TIME AGAIN!! RESERVE THE DATE: Saturday, May 2, 2026 Where: Loyal Order of the Moose 3600 RCA Blvd, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410 Time: 6:00 to 10:00 PM Accomodations are "On Your Own" for this event. Cash Bar (2) Bar Tenders this time. Jammin Jim Entertainment
•	Class of 66 having their 60th reunion. April 17 n 18 2026. The Friday night is at HILTON GARDENS INN 1-800 445 8667. Cut off March 2 for discount. Cocktail party there. 3505 Kyoto Gardens Drive.
