Charles Scott Taylor, age 74, of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, August 5th, 2020. He was born in Hartford, Connecticut on April 26th, 1946 to Leonard Taylor and Margaretta Ostien. Chuck was a member of First Baptist Church in Woodstock and was very strong in his faith and loved Pastor Johnny’s preaching and Greg Moss’s Sunday School class. He participated in several mission trips and served in several capacities. Jesus knows Chuck by name as Chuck placed his faith in Jesus Christ about 25 years ago – he was baptized at the age of 50 by his then pastor Sam Boyd, publicly declaring his faith before the body of Christ. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:8 “…absent from the body, present with the Lord” – it also says in 1 Corinthians 15:55 “O death where is thy sting? O grave where is thy victory!” Chuck walked from this earth into the presence of Jesus – he breathed his last breath here and his next breath in the presence of our Savior Jesus! There is no sting in death and the grave did not have victory over Chuck! Chuck graduated from the University of Florida and was a Gator fan to the end. He started his career with Hyatt Hotels. He had a long and extremely successful career in the hospitality industry – running two hotel management companies and operating many hotels across the United States. All who knew Chuck respected his quiet wisdom and gentle strength. Chuck will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him – but most of all by his wife – Debbie Taylor – whom he shared love, business, friendship and family with and his three children Scott, Mark and Alexis Taylor. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents Margaretta and Leonard Taylor; and sister, Ginger. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Taylor; sons, Scott Taylor and Mark Taylor; daughter, Alexis Taylor; grandchildren, Hannah Taylor, Harrison Taylor, Griffin Taylor, Texas Taylor; and brothers, Dan Taylor, Steve Taylor and Lenny Taylor.
