Robert G Tauriello - Class Of 1962

TAURIELLO, Robert G.
Robert G. Tauriello, 71, passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 at Hospice in Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center following a brief illness. He leaves his sister, Joan Betts; his niece, Allison Betts; his great niece, Shelby Betts; his great nephew, Jose Espada; his cousin, Edward (Linda) Gilliland; his cousin, John (Nola) Tauriello; and many close friends. Born in Long Island City, NY, the son of Gilbert and Lillian (Nash) Tauriello his family moved to upstate New York until 1960 when his family moved to Florida. After graduating from Riviera Beach High School in 1962, he attended Junior College at University of Florida, graduating with an Associate in Arts in 1964. He then joined the Navy in 1966 where he served on the USS Vogelgesang Destroyer ship. After the Navy, Mr. Tauriello worked for IBM for 28 years as an electronic tech. After retirement, he went to truck driving school and drove for Cannon Express for a short time. Having a passion for race cars, he then transported race cars for Klub Sport as well as Pettit Racing to race tracks all over the country.


A memorial service will be held at Community United Church of Christ, Lake Park, Florida, 501 Park Avenue, Lake Park, FL 33403, then will be interred in the family plot in Cobleskill, NY. He will be missed immensely.
