FRED FREED June 3, 1945 - January 6, 2010 Fred Freed was born in Newark, NJ on June 3, 1945 to Frederick D. Freed and Martha W. Johnson. He grew up in Lake Park, FL and graduated from Riviera Beach High School in 1963. Fred served in the Army during the Vietnam War and returned to Palm Beach County for many years. After moving to Alford, FL Fred spent several years serving with the Compass Lake Volunteer Fire Department and helped mentally handicapped people through the ARC. He is survived by his wife, Mary Freed, of Alford, FL; his children, David Freed, of Chattanooga, TN, Dixie Manion, of Melbourne, FL and his stepson, Steven Crutchfield of Graceville, FL in addition to 12 grandchildren. Dad was adamant that he should have no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Compass Lake Volunteer Fire Department, Alford, FL. Rest in Peace, Dad, God bless you. Herb Lozott (1963)

Fred, I'm going to miss you my friend. We've come a long way since Mrs. Owens first grade class at Lake Park Elementry, to "at last, we've graduated" from RBHS, and wondering what the hell we were going to do next!

Somehow we managed stay out of jail, and, had some pretty good times too.

David Parks (1966)

I hadn't seen Fred in many years he hung out on my street alot with Bob O"Dell and Neil Jackson.Was a nice guy--- Dave Parks
