Jim was one of my very best friends. We shared a love for all art and painting. After graduation we went our separate ways. I only found out about his death at a visit to the Vietnam Memorial. Jim had just gotten to Vietnam when he died. . . such a loss. Incredibly it's been 46 years since we wished each other the best in life. . .I know he gave me the best in friendship.

I didn't learn about Jim's passing until my 20th reunion, the first I attended I believe.  Jim and I used to talk a lot in Political Science class and he had written something in my yearbook that puzzled me so I looked forward to meeting him at a reunion to clarify that message.  I'll never know what we were talking about that led to that message.  I agree with Gail...Jim's death is a terrible loss.
