Surviving are his wife, Dreama; his daughter, Holly Turkett-Michalski, her husband Tony and their children Anthony Dean and Sydney Michalski; his sisters, Cindy Hogeboom (Leroy) of Voorheesville, New York, and Gayle Gendron (Ed) of Ballston Lake, New York; his brother, Glenn Turkett (Margie) of Riva, Maryland, and their daughter Lindsay. Robert "Michael" Boggy (1965)

I owe a special thanks to Dean for taking care of me on one of our PBJC basketball away trips to Key West, circa 1965.  First time I ever tried alcohol.  He caught me as I fell from a railing at our hotel that night.  He also guided me to barf in the right places.  Never touched Bacadi Rum since that night nor any other hard stuff. We didn't win any games that year because PBJC was too cheap to give scholarships and we were playing teams that ALL offered ahtletic scholarships.  Neverlheless, we loved the sport and comeraderie and had some good times.   He had a nice corner jumpshot  I always admired.  I could see him being a good coach and father.
