My daughter treated me to the Summerland Concert at Bethel Woods.  The line up was:  Marci Playground, Gin Blossoms, Lit, Sugar Ray, and Everclear.  We had box seats and the concert was GREAT,  She also took me to see the Museum before the Concert and we ate there as well.  The venue is beautiful and clean.  Everything is modern and new, well maintained.  The entire venue grounds are filled with all kinds of concessions and the walkways are all brick.  Truely magical.  The entire site is landscaped and kept clean throughout the concerts.  The lawns are mowed and there are tables and benches everywhere.  So, if you are ever in this neck of the woods, go see it.  It's remarkable.

A friend lives a few hundred yards from the original concert site, which doesn't seem to be used for concerts anymore.  The Bethel Woods venues are further south from the natural amphitheater where the 69 concert took place -  at least that's the way it was when I was there in 2009.

I was there for the 25th anniversary in 94.  There was another concert in Saugerties, NY claiming to be Woodstock 94.  We provided support for European TV to shoot and edit there.  Some of my footage at the original site and the town council meeting deciding to not allow the concert at Yasgur's Farm also appeared on European TV.  The concert at the original site went on despite opposition and was heavily attended.

If you want the flavor of the 69 original you have to go to Hector's, which is south and east of Bethel Woods just over a mile.  Here's some footage from the 40th annivesary (August 2009) at Hector's:

The dancer/photographer was staying at my place in NYC.  We and another friend drove up for the day.

This was just some musicains jamming out of the back of a car.  If you search Hector's on youtube, you'll get a better idea of the outdoor performance area that's there,
