SEPT JAM SESSION REUNION
Hello Classmates of RBHS,
Shortly after joining this site, I drank a pot of coffee and looked at all the classes and profiles. (yep....strong coffee...!!!) I was amazed at how many people live in the Central Florida area, many whom I don't recall ever seeing at any of the Hornet Buzz galas.
One of our classmates, Cheryl "Cheri" Boggy Dalton, (class of '67), is coming to Florida the 3rd week in September. She knows that I play on Sunday afternoons from 2 until 6 in a little beer and wine joint, that just happens to have great food. She's planning to come for the afternoon and her brother Mike Boggy (class of '65) is coming up from Ft Lauderdale. Her son, Chris, is a musician and he'll be joining us, as well.
She suggested making a post on the school site, as well as FACEBOOK, since so many of us have connected there as well, inviting any and all who might care to join in the festivities. This is scheduled for Sunday, Sept 21st.
It's about an hour and 30 minutes North from PGA Blvd on I-95. (I know since I've made the trip at least a dozen times since moving to the area) Take exit 223 WEST (also known as State Rd 46...MIMS) about 8 miles. The very first bridge will be your exit. The name of the place is the JOLLY GATOR FISH CAMP. (It also happens to be the only building you'll see once you're through Mims)
For any musicians that might be coming, it's also an open jam session. Mostly blues, but pretty much anything goes. It could be a lot of fun seeing everyone. In case you didn't get the idea from the name of the place, dress is very casual.
If you have thoughts of possibly attending, please let me know either through RBHS Facebook or JOEYD419@YAHOO.COM. Also, please reference SEPT JAM SESSION REUNION in the subject matter in case it goes to my spam file.
As far as motels, the closest ones north are in Daytona, (about 20 miles) south is Titusville, (about 10 miles once you're on 95) Hope to see as many people as possible!!!
I'm also on FACEBOOK, as are a lot of you, and will be posting there as the time draws closer, and ask that you share it with your FB friends as well. You can keep up to date by using the New App for FB users from the RBHS web site host Class Creater. Click on this link and join Class Connection. Many features are so easy to use, updates post both to your FB and RBHS so you only need to do it once.
