Towards the end of her life, my sister informed a staff member in CICU that the manner of her death did not sum up her life. She was a very bright and successful business woman, could dance like a demon in high heels, always had a purse to match those high heels, was a wife, raised 7 foster children, was a wonderful; dyed in the blue friend and most of all loved with every ounce of her being. Merlynn and I would talk (and laugh) about the "good old days" at RBHS and living in Riviera Beach. We considered ourselves blessed to have been products of the 60's. I would not trade one minute of the 69 years I was fortunate enough to call her my sister; no matter what the struggle. "Dance, smile, giggle, marvel, trust, hope, love, wish, believe, most of all, enjoy every moment of the journey, and appreciate where you are in this moment instead of always focusing on how far you have to go." ~ Mandy Hale

Virginia... Sorry to hear about your sister Merlynn. I did not know her in high school, but we met in the mid 70's when she was a tenant in the apartments I managed in the South end of West Palm Beach. We had a few parties and cookouts during her brief residency. Merlynn was well liked by her neighbors, and we all hated to see her move.

From the posting on the RBHS web site it sounds like your sister led a very happy and productive life. It's tragic that it was cut so short. Merlynn R.I.P.
