WILLIAM R. WALKER William R. Walker, 65 passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2010 in Pahoa, HI following a long courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Louise Walker of Spruce Pine, NC. Bill was a graduate of Riviera Beach High School, Class of 1962 and served in the United States Army. He resided in Willow, AK before moving to Hawaii. Bill leaves behind three grown children, Kathy Sayer, Palmer, AK, Cindy Dorosett, Des Moines, WA and Bill Walker Jr., Wasilla, AK; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brother, John Walker, Jupiter, FL and sister, Margie Lindsley, Concord, NH and four nieces and nephews. Also, business associate Myke Metcalf, Pahoa, HI, who along with Bill's mechanical skills secured a United States Patent for his 'TrannyWalker', a revolutionary piece of equipment used totransport and rebuild automatic transmissions and engines. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Willow, AK.
