Can anyone confirm if Tom Bloodgood is dead? It seems like I recall he died in Tennessee shortley after we graduated in 1965. Joe Genchi.

Joe,

While doing my research about where everyone is located today, I read online an article in the Palm Beach Post which quotes his dad in 1968 as saying his son died the year before (1967) and have heard a rumor that he died hitch hiking while off post at Fort Knox, KY.  I was stationed there until July 1967 and didn't hear about it but soldiers died there a lot more often than people realize and there wasn't a lot of fuss made about it.  It also may have been after I left for my first tour in Germany in July.  Whichever it was, I didn't even know he was stationed there at the time, if he was.  But then, there were about 60,000 soldiers there then.  I don't know of any Army bases in Tennessee.

Sharon Hood Beaumont mentioned the last time I saw her that she thought it was 1966.

I have searched the internet high and low but cannot find anything more on him.  You might try going through the Post to see if they have an obituary.  You'll probably have to pay to find out.

You also might check with Suncoast High to see if they have any information.  I've sent the principal there an email asking for assistance twice but have had no answer yet.
